PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the indication precision of a fuel level by automatically correcting a detection error caused when converting a resistance value corresponding to the fuel level to voltage to fetch it as digital amount.;SOLUTION: A fuel level detection unit 20 is laid into a correction mode when a terminal 20b becomes L-level. A correction value computing part 35 in a CPU 20 determines the difference between the fuel level detected by fetching the resistance value corresponding to a fuel level of zero (point E: EMPTY point) through a resistance-voltage conversion circuit 120 and an A/D converter 31 and a preset reference value to the resistance value corresponding to the point E, and writes the determined difference as a correction value in a correction value storage part 40. A fuel level correction part 34 corrects, in a general mode, corrects the fuel level by addition of the correction value to the fuel level detected based on the resistance value or the like. Accordingly, the detection error in detection of the fuel level based on the resistance value is corrected.
