PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calligraphy training support system in which forms of letters written with a writing brush and the brush stroke of the writing brush can be effectively learnt by using real calligraphic writing brush and Japanese ink.;SOLUTION: When a user 3 sets a training mode from an instruction input device 21, a model setting part 33 sets model data and its brush parameter instructed from a model database and displays registered model brush-written-letter data on a display device 41. When the stroke of the writing brush is started, a brush stroke parameter input device 23 reads a brush stroke parameter at every time and inputs the parameter to a brush-written-letter processing part 35 and a brush stroke representation processing part 37 of a personal computer 5. The brush stroke brush-written-letter processing part 35 successively generates letters written with the writing brush and displays them on the display device 41. When the stroke of the brush is finished, the brush stroke representation processing part 37 creates brush stroke representation data and a comparative processing part 39 displays the created data on the display device 41 in comparison with model brush stroke representation data.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
