PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting configuration of an infrared range finder sensor, which can effectively prevent infrared reflected by a cover from entering to a light reception part and can accurately measure the distance to a target object.;SOLUTION: A light shielding plate 7 is arranged between a light emission part 3 a light reception part 4 of the infrared range finder sensor 2. Even when infrared emitted from the light emission part 3 is reflected by a protective cover 5 installed near the front face of the infrared range finder sensor 2, the light shielding plate does not allow the reflected infrared to enter to the light reception part 4, thereby preventing the infrared range finder sensor 2 from erroneously measuring the distance to the protective cover 5.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
