HYDROTHERMALLY SOLIDIFIED PRODUCT CONTAINING INORGANIC WASTES AS RAW MATERIAL AND METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment technique for converting harmful incineration ash (embers) to a harmless product having high commodity value. PSOLUTION: Incineration ash is dried to be adjusted to 50-200 mesh in its particle size. This incineration ash is mixed with a hydraulic aid such as cement or the like and a commodity producing aid such as a natural stone powder or the like and 20 wt.% of a 2 mol/L caustic soda aqueous solution is added to and kneaded with the resulting mixture. The obtained kneaded matter is charged in a press-molding machine and pressed at 80-180C to form an intermediate body. This intermediate body is put in an autoclave and exposed to saturated steam with a temperature of 150-200C and a pressure of 2 MPa for 8-12 hr to be hydrothermally reacted. By this method, a stone-like product excellent in strength, safety and aesthetic appearance can be obtained. PCOPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
