PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser-diode apparatus which prevents variation of a distortion and is inexpensively constituted.;SOLUTION: The apparatus is provided with a heater 12 for keeping the temperature of an uncooled laser-diode module 11 constant, wherein the heater 12 is controlled by a temperature-control circuit 13. The temperature-control circuit 13 detects the temperature of the laser-diode module 11 by, for example, a negative-characteristic thermistor, and controls the current flowing through the heater 12 based on the detected temperature to keep the temperature of the laser-diode module 11 constant. Consequently, the distortion occurring in the laser-diode module 11 is kept constant.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
