IRON RECOVERING AND RECYCLING METHOD FOR IRON-CONTAINING ACIDIC WASTEWATER

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iron recovering and recycling method for treating iron-containing acidic wastewater with a wastewater treatment material and efficiently recycling the obtained recovered treated matter. PSOLUTION: In the iron recovering and recycling method for iron-containing acidic wastewater, the iron-containing acidic wastewater represented by iron-containing pit wastewater is treated with the wastewater treatment material comprising a mixture of rock wool and cement to remove and recover at least an ion component and the obtained recovered treated matter is recycled as either one of a dioxin decomposing agent, a desulfurizing agent, a raw material of iron making and an iron material for cement. As the mixture of rock wool and cement, sprayed rock wool refuse, which is a granular solidified material and has voids of 50% or more, is preferable. Active iron oxide obtained by baking the recovered treated matter is suitable as the dioxin decomposing agent or the desulfurizing agent and, after the active iron oxide is used as the dioxin decomposing agent or the desulfurizing agent, it is recycled as the raw material for iron making or the iron material for cement.
