PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize recording and reproduction of multi-value information of constant linear density (CLV disk format) on the information track of an optical disk in a CAV drive state in which an ideal fundamental clock string (virtual CLVCLK) for forming the CLV disk format by CAV drive on an original disk medium or optical disk media is introduced and a comparatively stable drive state is easily realized.;SOLUTION: A frequency in a CLV fundamental clock string for forming an information track is generated conforming to the following equation: (0R0+P02nTn/(2))/(LCB) wherein: n = 0, 1, 2, 3, etc., 0; rotation angular velocity of turn table, R0; exposure start radius position, P; track pitch, Tn; arbitrary time interval of frequency updating, n; the number of times of updating formatter drive clock from start of exposure, LCB; fundamental length on formed CLV information track.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
