PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC-Na) for milk-containing drink preventing coagulation of milk protein in milk-containing drink.;SOLUTION: The sodium carboxymethyl cellulose for milk-containing drink is produced by using, as a stabilizer, CMC-Na (formulation product) comprising the following (A), (B) and (C): (A) 70-90 wt.% of CMC-Na produced by adjusting pH of the reaction solution after finishing esterification reaction to 8.0-9.0, where alkaline concentration of a reaction solvent when preparing alkali cellulose is 30-40 wt.%, a degree of etherification is 0.7-1.0, and the viscosity of a 2% solution is 2-400 mPa s; (B) 5-15 wt.% of CMC-Na where a degree of etherification is 1.0-1.2, and the viscosity of a 2% solution is 500-1,000 mPa s; and (C) 5-15 wt.% of CMC-Na where a degree of etherification degree is ≥0.6 but 0.7, and the viscosity of a 2% solution is 2-200 mPa s.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
