PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems wherein a conventional apparatus for HYDROPONIC CULTURE is a large-scale installation and the building is troublesome.;SOLUTION: The apparatus for cultivating a plant has two or more pipe-shaped horizontal passages arranged in the horizontal direction, and two or more pipe-shaped vertical passages stood upward from the horizontal passages. The lower ends of the vertical passages are communicated with the horizontal passages so that a culture liquid flowing in the horizontal passages may flow in the vertical passages, and the vertical passages have opened upper ends so that plant-cultivating tools having pipes protruded from cultivation vessel bodies may be inserted. The culture liquid is fed to the horizontal passages. The horizontal passages are horizontally arranged at an interval in the vertical direction, and the horizontal passages at the upper and lower stages are communicated by communicating passages for feeding the culture liquid from the passage at the upper stage to the passage at the lower stage. The apparatus also has a pump for circulating the culture liquid from the horizontal passages at the lowest stage to the horizontal passages at the highest stage.
