PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ferromagnetic shape-memory alloy which has superior magnetic properties, is suitable for a magnetic-field responding actuator or a magnetism-utilizing sensor, is inexpensive, and is superior in workability. PSOLUTION: The ferromagnetic shape-memory alloy has a composition comprising 20-32 atom% Ga, 15-45 atom% Fe and the balance Ni, and has a single-phase structure comprising an austenitic phase having a bcc-base ordered structure, or a two-phase structure comprising the austenitic phase of a bcc structure and a disordered phase of an fcc structure.
