METHOD FOR REINFORCING STEEL STRUCTURE BY FRP

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, by which a steel structure can be carried simply in the case of a visual observation and the progress of a discovered crack can be delayed by an immediate measure.;SOLUTION: In the method for reinforcing the steel structure by FRPs, a fiber-reinforced type synthetic-resin sheet is pasted to the crack developed in a section, to which the repeated stress of the steel structure is applied. A prepreg in which reinforced fibers, through which ultraviolet rays are transmitted, are impregnated with an ultraviolet curing type resin, is used as the fiber-reinforced type synthetic-resin sheet, and the sheet is pasted on the steel structure with an adhesive and can be cured completely.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
