PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a porous glass fine particle deposited body hardly causing crack or the like by which the glass fine particle produced by the burner for synthesizing the glass fine particle is efficiently stuck and deposited on a starting material and the bonding of the fine particle to each other is strengthened.;SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing the porous glass fine particle deposited body formed by sticking and depositing the glass fine particle synthesized by the burner on the surface of the staring material, a temperature region higher than the temperature of the starting material surface in a region corresponding to the center of the flame jetted from the burner for synthesizing the glass fine particle is made to exist in out of the region corresponding to the center of the flame.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
