PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing the nanoparticle one-dimensional chain over a wide range and a substrate for the method.;SOLUTION: The substrate having a peak-valley structure of a nano-scale manufactured by using NaCL (110) monocrystal is used as a template. The method for manufacturing the nanoparticle one-dimensional chain in which metal nanoparticles are disposed in a row in the valley part of the substrate constituted by depositing metal nanoparticles on the substrate by solution containing the metal nanoparticles, a carbon substrate to be used for the manufacturing method, and the nanoparticle one-dimensional chain in which metal nanoparticles manufactured by the method are disposed in a row are provided.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
