PURPOSE: To improve the analyzing sensitivity to allow a microanalysis by once holding a derivative sample by a pre-column, and thereafter sending it into an analyzing column. ;CONSTITUTION: A pump 1 is operated to sent an eluent 2 to a six-way valve 7 through an injector 3 and a three-way valve 4. The eluent 2 is passed through a pre-column 8 through through-holes 71, 72, and discharged from a drain 13 through through-holes 75, 76. When a sample is converted to its derivative, the sample is injected from the injector 3, and an eluent 6 containing a reagent for derivative formation is sent into the three-way valve 4. The sample is then sent to the valve 7 while it is mixed with the reagent 6, and derivative is formed and accumulated in the pre-column 8. The valve 7 is then switched to sent an analyzing eluent 11 by a pump 12. The eluent 11 enters the column 8 through the through-holes 74, 75 to elute the accumulated derivative sample, which is then sent to an analyzing column 9 through the through-holes 72, 73.
