PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To introduce arbitrary printer drivers to respective PCs by arbitrary initial setting from a means managing the printer drivers installed to the respective computers (PCs) inside a system in a lump by use of a network.;SOLUTION: When starting a distribution software 17, distribution information in distribution units such as a distribution destination PC, a printer driver, or each name of a setting file (the initial setting of the driver) described/indicated in a prescribed format in a distribution destination list 15 is read, and an installer 11, a printer driver file 12 and the setting file 13 are taken out of an HDD according to the indication. The files are distributed to the specified distribution destination PC 20. After the distribution, by remote function calling from a server 10, the distributed installer of the PC 20 is started, simultaneously, instructions to read the setting file are imparted, and the printer driver is introduced by the specified initial setting.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
