PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extra-low carbon steel wire rod excellent in cold workability and magnetic properties in which satisfactory cold workability can be obtained as hot-rolled, and excellent low magnetic field properties are exhibited in a product stage after magnetic annealing.;SOLUTION: The extra-low carbon steel wire rod has a composition of, by mass, ≤0.0034% C, 0.10 to 0.50% Si, 0.10 to 0.30% Mn, 0.01 to 0.10% P, ≤0.006% S, ≤0.35% Al, ≤0.01% N and ≤0.015% O also so as to satisfy the inequality of Si+P+Al≤0.6% as for Si, P and Al, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
