Two-way communication switching arrangement and two-way communication change manner

PURPOSE: To perform the changeover of bidirectional communication by letting a corresponding host side switching means perform the switching operation of connecting a circuit on a side connected to a printer by a host computer communication control means corresponding to a host computer which performs the dedication request of the printer. CONSTITUTION: When the dedication request of the printer 4 is issued from one of the respective host computers 1 and 2, a microcomputer 5 performs the switching operation of connecting the circuit on the side connected to the host computer 1 or 2 which issued the dedication request of the printer 4 by a multiplexer 9 when the state of the multiplexer 9 for switching the interface of the printer 4 to the side of the microcomputer 5 or the respective host computers 1 and 2 is not stored in a register 10. Also, host communication control means 13 and 14 perform the switching operation of connecting the circuit on the side connected to the printer 4 to the multiplexers 15 and 16 which are the corresponding host side switching means and the changeover of the bidirection communication is performed.
