PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing an activation complement from a human blood coagulation factor XIII-containing fraction, by which the activation complement C3a known as anaphylatoxin, and the like, can efficiently be removed, and to provide a human blood coagulation factor XIII-containing fraction preparation substantially not containing the anaphylatoxin.;SOLUTION: The method for removing the activation complement from the human blood coagulation factor XIII-containing fraction is characterized by treating the human blood coagulation factor XIII-containing fraction originating from the human plasma with a hydrophobic carrier and, if necessary, then further with an anion exchanger. Thereby, the anaphylatoxin can efficiently be removed from the blood coagulation factor XIII-containing fraction.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
