PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a specified synthetic peptide of a natural or mutant p53 protein and to prevent and treat human diseases, for example various human cancers exhibiting excess expression of the p53 protein, by using such synthetic peptides or a pharmaceutical composition containing the synthetic peptide, and to provide a CTL (cytotoxic T lymphocytes) exhibiting reactivity to the natural or mutant human p53 protein and useful for preventing and treating the human diseases. PSOLUTION: The peptide is composed of an amino acid sequence derived from the human p53 protein and the amino acid sequence has the ability to be connected to a human MHC (major his to compatibility complex) class-1 molecule. The peptide is used for preventing and treating the diseases such as the human cancer exhibiting the excess expression of the p53 protein.
