PURPOSE:To provide an acclimatizing apparatus switchable between cooling mode and heating mode in high efficiency and enabling the proper control of the atmospheric temperature in the apparatus. CONSTITUTION:The wall of this acclimatizing apparatus for grafted seedling has a double-wall structure composed of an outer wall 1 and an inner wall 2 and an acclimatizing chamber 19 containing a grafting seedling holding shelf 3 is placed in the inner wall 2 having high thermal conductivity. The atmospheric temperature in the acclimatizing chamber 19 is controlled by generating cooled air or heated air with an evaporator 12 of a refrigerator 6 or a heater 7 in the space between the double walls and circulating the cooled or heated air through the space with an inner fan 13 of the refrigerator 6. The temperature is controlled by controlling the operation of the evaporator 12 or the heater 7 with a temperature controller according to the difference between the preset temperature and the atmospheric temperature in the acclimatizing chamber 19 measured by a temperature sensor 26. The apparatus cost can be reduced because the inner fan 13 of the refrigerator 6 can be used also for the blowing of the cooled air or the heated air.
