PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scour preventing structure for a dam embankment, which permanently prevents scour and damage of a downstream side of the dam embankment, and particularly an apron portion, caused by collision of huge boulders flowing downward over an overflowing portion.;SOLUTION: In construction of the scour preventing structure for the dam embankment, a plurality of scour preventive plates 2 are laid on the downstream side of the dam embankment 1 from the overflowing portion 1a through a slope portion 1b and to the apron portion 1c. Then grout 5 is filled between the dam embankment 1 and the scour preventive plates 2, and further cushioning members 4 are interposed between corner portions of the respective scour preventive plates 2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
