PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a generation and frequency conversion device or the like that performs the generation and frequency conversion of power related to different power systems and frequencies, feeds and transmits power between the different power systems, and is capable of reducing power loss and a burden of expense. PSOLUTION: The power trade system is constituted such that generation and frequency equipment and one or plurality of transmission/receiving equipment that belong to one of a plurality of areas different in frequencies are connected by a power cable. When the request of power transmission between the areas different in frequencies comes from the transmission equipment, the generation and frequency conversion equipment commutes the whole or part of power related to the transmission request to the receiving equipment that belongs to an area of a party that has issued the request, and transmits the power; performs frequency conversion with respect to power that is obtained by subtracting the commuted power from the power related to the transmission request; and transmits the power to an area different from that of the party that has issued the request. The generation and frequency conversion equipment further generates power depending on the frequency of an area to which the receiving equipment belongs, and transmits the power to the receiving equipment.
