PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparing an insect cell extract for synthesizing a cell-free protein, capable of more easily preparing the extract from which a larger amount of the protein is synthesized than ever, to provide the insect cell extract, and to provide a method for synthesizing the cell-free protein by using the insect cell extract.;SOLUTION: This method for preparing the insect cell extract for synthesizing the cell-free protein comprises subjecting insect cells to extraction, wherein the method for preparing the insect cell extract for synthesizing the cell-free protein includes at least a process for rapidly freezing the insect cells suspended in an extractant.
