PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of the indoor unit of a conventional air conditioner that the work for opening/closing or fixing/removing a vane mechanism part in an air outlet requires much labor and the cleaning work of a fan or in a duct is difficult for a user. SOLUTION: In an air conditioner comprising a unit body comprising a heat exchanger and a fan, a duct for guiding heat exchanging air supplied from the fan in the unit body, a heat exchanging air outlet opening at the end of the duct, and a vane mechanism section disposed at the air outlet and changing the direction of heat exchanging air being supplied therefrom, a vane fixing/ removing mechanism section comprising a shaft on one side of a planar base section in the longitudinal direction and a fixing hook on the opposite side can turn to be opened/closed.
