METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR GUIDING PARKING POSITION IN LARGE PARKING LOT

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking position guiding method in a large parking lot which can accurately guide a parking position without installing a device or apparatus in the vicinity of each parking space in the parking lot and can provide parking position guide including a route from the outside of the parking lot to the parking lot. PSOLUTION: The parking position guiding method guides a user of the parking lot along a route from an optional current position on the outside of the parking lot up to a vehicle parking position. Thereby the method includes processing for recognizing a vehicle to be parked in the parking lot, a processing for generating an information communication network address to be used for the registration and guide of the parking position of the recognized vehicle, processing for transmitting the address to the user, processing for acquiring the parking position information by a portable information terminal with a current position information acquiring function after parking the vehicle and registering the information in a parking position registering database in relation with the address, processing for allowing the user to generate a parking position guide request and acquire user's current position information by the portable information terminal, and processing for preparing a route diagram for guide between the vehicle parking position and the user's current position in accordance with the guide request and displaying the prepared route diagram on the portable information terminal.
