PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe tachykinin antagonist free from the development of side effects, etc., of a tachykinin receptor antagonist prepared by organic synthesis.;SOLUTION: The pharmaceutical composition contains phenylpropanoid glycoside extracted and separated from the rhizome of a plant of Liliaceae as an active component. Since the compound of the present invention has tachykinin antagonistic action, it is useful as an agent for the treatment and prevention of various tachykinin-relating diseases such as antiinflammatory agents, antiallergic agents, analgesics, antiemetics, medicines for irritative bowel syndrome, medicines for skin diseases, medicines for angiospastic diseases, medicines for cerebral ischemic diseases, antidepressants, antianxiety agents, medicines for autoimmune diseases, muscle relaxants and antispasmodics.
