PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute appropriate adjustments of a video to be photographed or displayed, regardless of the amount of outputted video signals by supplying to an external device information on the video of a frame or a field which does not supply the video signal to the external device. SOLUTION: An output signal of an A/D converter 13 is given to a signal- processing circuit 16 for every three frames, and a generated video signal is given to an external interface 20 at a speed corresponding to a transmission capability of the external interface 20. A signal at a frame that is not given to the signal processing circuit 16, or the frame that is not made a video signal, is given to an iris calculation circuit 18 and a white balance calculation circuit 19. Calculation results at each circuit are given to the external interface 20 after the video signal and are transmitted to the external device, so that information on the frame to which the video signal is not transmitted is transmitted to the external device in the intervals between video signal transmissions.
