PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fungicide for a washing tub for simply exterminating fungi in the washing tub of a washing machine in a short time, an apparatus therefor and a control method for the fungi using the apparatus. PSOLUTION: The fungicide for the washing tub for preventing inhabitation/growth of the fungi living in the washing tub or a dewatering basket of the washing machine comprises the fungicide and a gas producer as an active ingredient. The fungicide for the washing tub converts into a gaseous state in use and diffuses/fills the whole washing tub in order to prevent the growth of the fungi in the washing tub.
