PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an utensil which is sanitary, rich in heat insulation and heat retaining property and easy to be cleaned by providing plastic protective materials at least one both upper and lower end surfaces of a frame formed of a plate piece in the vertical direction in cross section. ;SOLUTION: In the end parts of two pieces of steaming basket plates for forming four sides of a square steaming basket, a light-weight timber is used as a core material 11, and a protective material 12 made of an ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene resin thick plate with a melt flow rate of 0.01 or less and with a molecular weight of 5,000,000 is stuck to the upper and lower end surfaces of the core material 11 in the vertical direction in cross-section. A protective material 14 of a thin plate formed of a 12-nylon resin is stuck to the whole surface of the side. Further, as fitting members, a projected crest is formed on one of the protective materials 12 stuck to the upper and lower end surfaces and a recessed groove is formed on the other extending over the whole length in the longitudinal direction of a steaming basket plate. The 12-nylon resin stuck to the side surface has a high resistance not to be deformed by steam. Further, it has high surface hardness and a high wear-resisting property, it is hard to be damaged and it protects the steaming basket to be effective for improving the sanitary property and durability.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
