PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonlinear distortion compensatory circuit which precisely compensates the nonlinear distortion of a power amplifier in an actual operating temperature without increasing its circuit scale or cost. PSOLUTION: This nonlinear distortion compensatory circuit compensates the nonlinear distortion of the power amplifier for amplifying an input signal. The circuit has a power calculation circuit 6 for calculating the power of the output signal, an operating point setting circuit 7 for calculating an outward power value from a power value calculated by the calculation circuit 6 and measured temperature information on the temperature of the power amplifier inputted from outside, on the basis of the relation between the temperature and the input/output characteristic of the power amplifier given beforehand, a reverse characteristic calculation circuit 9 for calculating the reverse component of the nonlinear distortion from the outward power value calculated by the setting circuit 7 and reverse characteristic data concerning the nonlinear distortion of the power amplifier given beforehand and the outward power value calculated by the setting circuit 7, and a complex multiplier 8 for superposing the reverse component calculated in the calculation circuit 9 on the input signal.
