PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for appropriately evaluating the degree of influence of a chemical substance in each hormone system in a single test (for example, without allowing operation to an angrogen receptor to interfere with influence to thyroid gland) without independently executing a plurality of tests.;SOLUTION: The method for evaluating the degree of influence of the chemical substance to the thyroid gland comprises processes for: extracting the testis of 6-10 week old rodent animals; a process for raising the animal to a degree, where the amount of increase in weight and the amount of ingestion of bait after extracting the testis recover to nearly the same degree as the amount of increase in weight and the amount of ingestion of bait before extracting the testis; giving a substance to be inspected to the animal at least once a day for 8 to 14 days; sampling blood from the animal for measuring the concentration of thyroid gland-related hormone in blood contained in the blood; and evaluating the degree of influence of the substance to be inspected to the thyroid gland, based on the difference between the concentration of the measured thyroid gland-related hormone in blood and a comparison.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
