BLOOD COLLECTION METHOD BY PAINLESS SKIN PUNCTURE

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood collection method by a painless skin puncture. PSOLUTION: The depth of the skin puncture at the fingers in the self-blood collection of the blood sugar of a diabetes patient is made shallower than a conventional one, i.e., 0.2 to 0.4 mm. The region for the puncture is specified to the region between the first knuckle on the back side of the finger and the base of the nail (the optimum puncture region is specified to the neighborhood of the posterior nail vallum at the neck of the nail). The base of the finger is subjected to avascularization by another finger, avascularization band or avascularization cord, etc., after the puncture and thereafter the first knuckle is bent, by which the pressure in the blood vessel in the puncture region is increased and the issue of blood is made easy.
