Systems and methods for selectively stimulating the pudendal nerve components away from the sacral roots to elicit a desired response in a human is provided. The system and method uses an electrode array of individual electrodes or multiple arrays on pudendal nerve, pudendal nerve in, is located in or near the pudendal nerve (18, 20, 22 and 24). In order to combine a pulse generator, to achieve the physiological responses of different individual electrodes or electrode arrays this provides for selective stimulation of individual bundles in the pudendal nerve.
