PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal component laser welding method of easy welding work, enhanced welding strength and excellent yield, a laser welding structure using the same, and an electromagnetic relay. PSOLUTION: The electromagnetic relay comprises a body block 1 in which an electromagnet block, a fixed terminal plate 11 with a fixed contact 11a fixed thereto, and a common terminal plate 12 are inserted in a resin body 13, an armature 20 which is rockingly supported on the body block 1, and rocked according to the energization to the electromagnet block, a contact spring 21 integrated with the armature 20 and having a movable contact attached/detached to/from the fixed contact 11a fixed to both end portions, and a hinge spring 22 electrically connected to the contact spring 21. The common terminal plate 12 is substantially plate-shaped, arranged so that the thickness direction thereof is substantially orthogonal to the laser beam irradiation direction, and integrally provided with a weld part 12a in which the hinge spring 22 is welded by the laser welding to an end face with the normal direction thereof substantially orthogonal to the thickness direction.
