ENCLOSED OIL COOLING DEVICE FOR FILLED OIL IN MECHANICAL SEAL OF SLURRY PUMP ALSO USABLE AS IMPURITIES ELIMINATING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide cooling device for filled oil in a mechanical seal also usable as an impurities eliminating device capable of easily cooling filled oil in a mechanical seal chamber, preventing dust or impurities from mixing into the mechanical seal chamber, and easily discharging dust or impurities, if any mixed into the mechanical seal chamber, from the mechanical chamber.;SOLUTION: This cooling device for a filled oil in mechanical seal of a slurry pump on land also usable as an impurities eliminating device is provided with an oil tank 12 parted at a center by a dam plate 14 into a first tank 12A and a second tank 12B, and provided with a mesh member 13 to part the first tank 12A at a center of it. The second tank 12B of the oil tank 12 is connected by an oil feed pipe 12 having an oil pump 10 in it to the oil injection side 8a of the mechanical seal chamber 8. The oil return side 8b of the mechanical seal chamber 8 is connected by an overflow tube 9 to the upstream side 12a of the first tank 12A of the oil tank 12.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
