PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economically advantageous method by which heavy metals are removed from heavy metal-containing plants which have been subjected to incineration disposal and effective utilization of the plants and reutilization of treatment waste liquid can be attained. PSOLUTION: In the treating method for the plant containing the heavy metals, the heavy metal-containing plant is immersed in a culture solution containing lactobacilli, yeast, and sugar to dissociate the heavy metals contained in the plant and dissociated heavy metals are separated and recovered from the aqueous solution by adsorption removal using a chelate resin.
