PURPOSE: To obtain a polymeric material composition which does not discolor and has excellent mechanical strength and improved long-term light resistance. ;CONSTITUTION: The composition comprises 100 pts.wt. polymeric material and 0.001-5 pts.wt. ultraviolet absorber represented by the formula, wherein R₁ and R₂ each is hydrogen, an alkyl, an alkoxy, or a halogen; R₃ is hydrogen, an alkyl, an aryl, or an aryl substituted with an alkyl, alkoxy, or halogen; R₄ and R₅ each is hydrogen, hydroxy, an alkyl, an alkoxy, or a halogen; and A is an alkylene or hydroxyalkylene group.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
