TOOL FOR COLLECTING FRACTURED SURFACE DUE TO HYDROGEN INDUCED CRACKING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool for collecting fractured surfaces due to hydrogen induced cracking (HIC) capable of easily collecting fractured surfaces due to HIC from a HIC-tested test piece.;SOLUTION: The jig for collecting fractured surfaces due to HIC is provided with a spring for fixing the test piece including an HIC part; an upper tool; and a lower tool. The upper tool has an end part capable of being inserted in the spring; a notch part at one end of the end part; an overhang part for suppressing the spring in the vicinity of its center part; and the other end as an impact end. The notch part suppresses an end part of the test piece including the HIC part. The lower tool comprises a hole part in which the end part of the upper tool can be inserted. The upper tool and the lower tool are preferably made of martensitic stainless steel or a Ni-based superalloy.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
