PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a surface acoustic wave resonator having a small capacity ratio by configuring a cord electrode having a tilting type structure to efficiently excite a basic mode in an cord type surface acoustic wave resonator.;SOLUTION: The tilting type surface acoustic wave cord electrode resonator has the configuration that the cord electrode is divided in the widthwise direction perpendicular to the propagating direction and the center position of the divided cord electrode is shifted by Nλ in the propagating direction. In this case, a surface acoustic wave resonance having a high Q-value and low capacity ratio can be obtained by providing a short circuit type reflector at both ends of the tilting type surface acoustic wave cord electrode resonator.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
