PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lens assembly adjusting method for assembling group lenses having good aberration performance with high accuracy, a lens assembly device, a group lens, and an optical information recording and reproducing device.;SOLUTION: The group lens adjusting device having a means for detecting the aberration components possessed by the group lens by receiving the light past through the group lens consisting of a plurality of lenses and a driving means capable of discretely controlling the plurality of the lenses, controls the position of the plurality of lenses by the driving means in such a manner that the magnitude of the abaxial aberrations in at least one component of the aberration components is made asymmetrical with the optical axes of the group lens.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
