PURPOSE: To provide a packing and guiding device for a rush seedling cassette packing machine capable of distributing seedlings to right and left sides in the width direction in a cassette and effectively sending the seedlings. ;CONSTITUTION: In a rush seedling cassette packing machine in which a rush seedling 1 being supplied horizontally or in a position inclined close to horizontality and transported while changing to a standing position from the transportation end is fed to both intermittently revolving conveyor belts 10a and 10b, a foliage part 1b of the standing rush seedling 1 is sandwiched and transported by both the conveyor belts 10a and 10b and the rush seedling can be sent from the end sides of the conveyor belts into a cassette 6 and packed, a center guide plate 11 is extended from the front position of the sandwiching starting end parts of both the conveyor belts 10a and 10b through the lower position of the part sandwiched by both the conveyor belts 10a and 10b to the rear position of the sandwiching end parts of both the conveyor belts 10a and 10b. The root parts of the transported rush seedlings 1 can be distributed to right and left by the center guide plate 11 and fed to the right and the left sides in the cassette 6.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
