PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation method of a home network system capable of controlling all home electric appliances connected to a home network by giving a home electric appliance to be newly connected to the home network a unique ID (identifier) which is not duplicated by an ID given to a home electric appliance already connected.;SOLUTION: A specific ID is given to a client home electric appliance 100 to be newly connected to a home network N so that the appliance 100 is automatically bound to the home network N. Because of this, IDs given to a number of client appliances 100 made by different manufacturers and connected to the home network N are not duplicated. The home server electric appliances 200 are enabled to distinguish and control each of the client appliances 100.
