PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for regreening a vegetation slope by an economical and simple planting method. PSOLUTION: The method for regreening a vegetation slope provided with existing vegetation comprises the following process: mowing existing vegetation at least on a peripheral area adjacent to nursery stocks to be newly planted so as to prevent the stocks from being influenced by the existing vegetation, and newly planting the nursery stocks in the valley side based on the center line of the slope in the transverse direction of the mown peripheral area. The peripheral area is formed so that the transverse length is longer than the horizontal one. It is suitable that a regarmination inhibiting layer is formed fully or partly on the mountain side based on the center line of the slope in the transverse direction of the mown peripheral area.
