Provided is a novel human apoptosis-related protein that induces apoptosis, including a protein comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 2, 4, or 6. The present invention also provides a polynucleotide encoding the protein, an antibody against the protein, and the like. These proteins, polynucleotides and antibodies are useful for diagnosis and treatment of cancer, autoimmune diseases and the like.
