PURPOSE: To provide a molding of complicated shape with an uneven profile which is free from defects such as crease or rupture and to improve productivity. ;CONSTITUTION: Fixing devices 20, each equipped with sliding members 21, 22 with a low coefficient of friction and a coil spring 27 for pressing one of the sliding members 21, 22 against a skin facing material are provided at a specified interval from each other, on a die 10, in accordance with the slide-in amount of each part of the skin facing material. When molding, the skin facing material, held by the fixing device 20, is allowed to slide into the die 10 by a slide-in amount set before the material becomes ruptured, if the material is stretched out. Thus, an optimal tension is applied to every part of the skin facing material, so that no crease or rupture generates on the surface of a molding.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
