PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inquire a user by the optimal communication method, to relieve input works of the user for a plurality of kinds of service and to secure privacy of information about the user with respect to a portal site server system, a portal site method and a portal site program for providing a plurality of user terminals with service via a network. PSOLUTION: The portal site server system is provided with a user profile for at least registering communication methods to the user, a communication priority table for registering priority of the communication methods, a means for inquiring the user by a method with the highest priority among the communication method registered in the user profile according to the communication priority table when a provision request of the service is issued from the user and inquiry to the user becomes necessary and a means for updating the user profile by information responded from the user corresponding to the inquiry.
