PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the position of a speaking party using an in-hall loudspeaker equipment from being mis-estimated. ;SOLUTION: A pickup sound processing section 12 applies a delay processing and signal amplifier processing to a voice signal from a microphone 11 for each input channel, depending on an arithmetic operation pattern, signals of each channel are summed, a control discrimination processing section 13 compares a sum signal for each arithmetic operation pattern with a sum signal of each channel to estimate the position of a speaking party. Here, a storage section 14 stores the position information of a loudspeaker 16 and gives the information to a control section 17, so as to exclude the position of the loudspeaker 16 from the arithmetic operation pattern, thereby avoiding the loudspeaker 16 from being focused.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
