PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a standard liquid or reference liquid for immunoassay comprising clear blood serum or blood plasma in a short time without causing any loss of (complement protein) C4 by simply bringing the blood serum or blood plasma into contact with silica particles and requiring no troublesome operation, e.g. freezing and melting. ;SOLUTION: Under presence of sodium chloride, blood serum blood plasma is mixed with dry or wet silica particles and brought into contact therewith so that the insoluble components are absorbed by the silica particles. Subsequently, the silica particles adsorbing the insoluble components are removed by centrifugal separation, for example, to produce a standard liquid or reference liquid for immunoassay.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
