PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To irradiate a linear area with light in equal light quantity for every area by a means which is simple and also inexpensive to manufacture without using many light sources. SOLUTION: Relating a light guiding member 1 where the 1st side plane 11A that extends in a longitudinal direction of a transparent member 11 that has a fixed length is made a light-emitting surface 12 and also any of parts of the other side planes except the plane 11A is made light incident parts 15, the 2nd side plane 11B which faces the surface 12 in the direction of its thickness is provided with total reflection areas 13 and irregular reflection areas 14 which coexist, and the area ratio of the areas 14 to the areas 13 becomes higher as they become farther from the parts 15.
