PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outdoor unit of an air conditioner easily manufactured, maintained, and inspected.;SOLUTION: A top panel 20 of the outdoor unit is engaged with side panels 21 and screwed. Respective handles 22 are disposed on facing short edge 23 sides of the rectangular top panel 20. The handles 22 are formed by pressing the short edges 23 of the top panel 20 so that their edges 24 are projected outward from the outdoor unit. The handles 22 are curlings formed so that their edges 24 come into the side panel 21 sides, and formed over all of parts projecting outward from the side panels of the edges 24. In this constitution, forming the handles on which a finger is put does not require any special member or recessing of the side panels 21 toward the inside of the outdoor unit, and therefore occupied volume of the outdoor unit is not reduced. The edges 24 of the curlings 25 are rounded to form circular arcs, so that gripping can be facilitated without damaging the hand.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
